SUPER INDEXING SPACER

In addition to all of the features of the Simple Indexing Spacer, the Super Indexing Spacer incorporates a Worm Gear and is supplied with a Face Plate. With the further addition of the optional Dividing Plate Set, it can also be used as a Dividing Head. 

The WORM is hardened and precision ground to minimize the wear out of the WORM GEAR. 

1) This index combines the benefits of the Super Index with those of a worm-driven index.
When installed on a milling, boring, or other machine tool, it can perform specialized indexing and indirect indexing using the worm-drive mechanism.

2) By disengaging the worm drive, the 24-notch master plate enables division into 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24 parts, similar to the Simple Index.

3) When the chuck is removed, this unit can function as a rotary table in both horizontal and vertical orientations. The operating handle for the rotary table has a worm gear reduction ratio of 1:90. The operating handle collar is marked in one-minute increments, and the vernier allows precise settings down to ten seconds.
